Reaching clash of clans town hall 11 is a defining moment in your Clash journey. You gain access to the mighty Eagle Artillery the wise Grand Warden and an additional Inferno Tower. But with great power comes great vulnerability. Attackers now wield Electro Dragons Siege Machines and maxed heroes. To survive you need a base that is thoughtfully designed not randomly copied.
For Farming: Protect your Dark Elixir and Gold storages. Leave the Town Hall exposed near the edge many attackers will take the easy one star victory and leave your resources untouched.
For Trophies: Centralize the Town Hall surround it with high hitpoint buildings like storages and the Clan Castle. Force the attacker to fight through layers of defenses.
For Clan Wars: Aim to deny the three-star victory. Use asymmetrical layouts hidden traps and separated compartments to break enemy attack paths.
Do not build one large square of walls that is a ring base and it fails at TH11. Instead create many small walled boxes called compartments each compartment should hold two or three defenses. This forces ground troops like Hog Riders and Miners to use wall breakers repeatedly slowing their progress and splitting their formation.
The Electro Dragon is the most feared troop at TH11. Its lightning jumps between nearby buildings. To counter it leave at least two tiles of empty space between your key defenses. Air Defenses, Inferno Towers and the Eagle Artillery should never touch each other. Place Seeking Air Mines in clusters near likely Electro Dragon approach paths.
The Eagle Artillery only activates after the attacker deploys 150 housing space worth of troops. Do not place it on the edge where it can be sniped. Bury it in the second or third layer of your base. However, do not put it directly next to the Town Hall. Force the attacker to choose which core building to target first.
Traps are not decorations. Place Spring Traps between defenses where Hog Riders or Miners commonly path. Put Giant Bombs in pairs to wipe out groups of Wizards or Bowlers. Tornado Traps should be positioned near the Town Hall to delay the enemy’s main push. Small Bombs work best one tile away from outside walls to surprise Wall Breakers.
Outer Ring Farmlands: Scattered army camps collectors and barracks. These slow down the initial deployment and waste the attacker’s funneling time.
First Wall Layer Defense Ring: Cannons, Archer Towers and Mortars spaced evenly around the perimeter. Between them place Spring Traps and Bombs.
Second Wall Layer Resource Core: All Gold and Elixir storages plus your Dark Elixir storage. Behind them place your Clan Castle set to defense mode.
Third Wall Layer Defense Heart: Your two Inferno Towers one single-target one multi-target both X-Bows and the Eagle Artillery. Do not cluster them keep two tiles between each.
Absolute Center: The Town Hall itself surrounded by the Grand Warden’s altar and a Tornado Trap. Behind the Town Hall place a hidden Tesla farm of four maxed Teslas.
Do not trust any layout blindly after building your base ask clanmates to attack you in a friendly challenge. Try different armies Electro Dragons Queen Walks Miner-Hog hybrids and Yeti Smashes. Watch every replay where did the attacker break through? Which traps never triggered? Adjust accordingly.
No base is invincible. A skilled attacker with maxed troops and a clever plan can three star any clash of clans town hall 11 (TH11) layout. Your goal is not perfection it is consistency. Make the attacker work for every percentage point. Force them to use extra spells. Break their funnel. If your base survives two out of three serious attacks you have built well. Keep evolving. The meta changes every month. What works today may fail tomorrow. Stay curious, keep testing, and enjoy the challenge of defending your village.
